Terms of Service
These terms govern repair and maintenance services provided by Red Car Garage LLC ("we", "us") to you, the vehicle owner or their authorized representative ("you"). By authorizing work on your vehicle, you agree to these terms.
Estimates and authorization
We provide a written estimate before performing work. Estimates are good-faith projections based on the information available at the time and may change if hidden damage or additional faults are found. We will not perform work beyond what you authorized without contacting you first for approval.
Diagnosis and completion times
Diagnostic work is an investigation, not a guaranteed outcome. Some faults — intermittent and condition-dependent ones especially — cannot be reproduced on demand and may require more than one visit to identify. Time spent diagnosing is billable whether or not it isolates the fault, and we will tell you what we ruled out before asking you to authorize more.
Completion dates we give you are estimates. Parts availability for vehicles of this age is outside our control, and back-ordered, superseded, or discontinued parts can extend a repair. We will keep you informed of delays as we learn of them.
Payment
Payment is due when the repair is complete and before the vehicle is released, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept the payment methods displayed at the shop. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
Vehicle storage and pickup
Please collect your vehicle promptly once we notify you that work is complete. Vehicles left beyond the period stated on your invoice may incur daily storage charges, which will be disclosed to you in advance.
Where an invoice goes unpaid or a vehicle is left uncollected, we may exercise whatever rights Texas law gives a repair shop in that situation, including a lien on the vehicle for the amounts owed. We would always rather reach you and work something out, and we will make reasonable attempts to do so first.
Warranty on our work
We warrant our workmanship for the period stated on your invoice, or for 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of the repair, whichever comes first, if the invoice states no period. The warranty covers defects in the labor we performed. It does not cover normal wear, damage from accident, abuse, or neglect, failures caused by parts you supplied, or problems arising from work you declined to authorize.
Customer-supplied parts
If you supply your own parts, we install them at your risk. We do not warrant customer-supplied parts and we do not cover the labor to replace one that fails.
Limitation of liability
Our liability for any claim arising from services we performed is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use of the vehicle. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Personal property
Please remove valuables from your vehicle before leaving it with us. We are not responsible for personal property left in a vehicle.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Texas.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted at redcargarage.com at the time you authorize work is the version that applies to that work.
